Winegard wins patent infringement case

(Nov. 16, 2011) -- King Controls had accused Winegard's Carryout product of infringing claims of two U.S. patents owned by King Controls. Winegard challenged the validity of the patents on various grounds. After a five-day trial, the jury returned a unanimous verdict in favor of Winegard in just over two hours of deliberations, the company said in a press release.

Navistar begins hiring in Alabama

(Nov. 15, 2011) -- Times Daily reports that Navistar International Corp. plans to begin hiring the first wave of employees this week in Barton, with the goal of having 110-120 new workers in place by Jan. 1. Jobs were also offered to the existing 95 workers at the National Alabama railcar plant.
