Florida agencies combine forces to increase service

(Jan. 29, 2013) -- When the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) acquired additional personnel from the Department of Environmental Protection and the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (DACS) last year, its staff gained new responsibilities. Now, FWC officers patrol all of Florida’s woods and waters, including its state forests and state parks.

RV resort participation flat at Tampa RV SuperShow

(Jan. 29, 2013) -- RV resort participation remained flat at this month’s RV SuperShow in Tampa, Fla. Twenty-five resorts were represented this year, the same as last year. Regarding the Kidd-Eyster annual motorcoach resort fuel survey gathered at the show, this year’s results demonstrated that RVers’ driving habits were unchanged during 2012. Sentiments have remained the same with respondents indicating that if fuel prices continue to decline, more than 70 percent of RVers would increase their travel plans or behaviors

Wert-Berater forecasts increased revenue for campgrounds, RVs

(Jan. 28, 2013) -- Wert-Berater, Inc. forecasts that campground and RV park revenue will increase at an estimated annualized rate of 2.4 percent to $5.4 billion over the five years to 2017. Furthermore, industry revenue will increase 2.6 percent to $4.9 billion from 2012 to 2013. For the RV dealer industry, in 2013, its revenue is expected to increase 2.7 percent to $18.5 billion. Furthermore, revenue is forecast to grow at an annualized rate of 2.9 percent over the five years to 2017.
