When water recedes, Ind. campground owners vow to reopen

(April 22, 2013) -- In Indiana, Sugar Creek Campground owners are obviously upset the campground they have worked to improve for the past nine years has been ripped apart, but they also are relieved that all of the campers are accounted for and no one lost their life in the historic flood.

Moraine Park Campground to close 3 weeks for paving project

(April 22, 2013) -- April 30 through May 20, Moraine Park Campground in Rocky Mountain National Park will close for a major repaving project. Aspenglen Campground will open early for the season on April 30 to accommodate campers. Aspenglen Campground will be first-come, first-served until May 22, when it will revert to the reservation system.

Forest Service works to repair copper thefts before opening

Although crews are working hard to avoid public impact, the crime may cause a delay in opening some sites. The agency is taking steps to eliminate the potential for vandalism.
