Former camper trailer workers offer each other support

(April 23, 2012) – Displaced workers from FTCA, formerly Fleetword Folding Trailers, are still trying to put their lives back together more than a year after their company was shuttered. They group together to support one another. “There are worse things than losing a job,” said Brenda Roberts, peer counselor for the Community Action Partnership for Somerset County, who is herself a former FTCA employee.

Oregon’s RV owners keep rolling despite high gas prices

(April 16, 2012) -- Central Oregonians are dusting off their recreational vehicles despite high gas prices. Some are even looking to buy new RVs. With high gas prices plaguing much of the High Desert (and other parts of the country), many shoppers at the Central Oregon RV show at the Deschutes County Fairgrounds in Redmond say mileage could be a deciding factor on what kind of RV they buy.
