Canadian economy faced limited inflation pressures in Dec. 2012

(Jan. 25, 2013) -- Transportation costs fell by 1.2 percent in the month and were 0.5 percent higher than a year earlier. Gasoline prices dropped by 2.4 percent in December and stood one percent higher than a year earlier. Food prices edged down by 0.2 percent and were 1.5 percent higher than in Dec. 2011.
