NE: Two dogs die in fire, camper total loss

(Jan. 12, 2017) -- The report of the camper fire came in just before 7:35 a.m., in the 2100 block of West Sixth Street, said Fire Marshal George Lewis. He said the father and son were living in a small camper trailer while remodeling their home. The family’s two dogs knocked over a propane heater, causing the blaze. The dogs died in the fire.
