Festival, car camping event is a $254M boon

(Oct. 30, 2012) -- The economic impact of Coachella is widespread. The Desert Sun reports Indio, Calif. saw a 31.2 percent increase in its hotel taxes in the past year largely because the city began taxing the campground fees related to the music festival.
