Day-use proposed for Albert Pike

(Sept. 11, 2012) -- National Forest managers are proposing to make changes in the long-term management and use of the Albert Pike Recreation Area in Montgomery County, Ark. The changes are in part based on better flood susceptibility data and the Forest Service concluding that flood warning systems are not a viable approach to alleviate the risk of flash flooding.
