Xanterra leaving the Grand Canyon

(Nov. 5, 2014) -- At Grand Canyon National Park, federal officials are scrambling to keep hotels, restaurants and mule rides going after the end of the year. The longtime franchisee for those services, Xanterra, is leaving and no replacement will be named by the Dec. 31 contract exploration.
