San Gabriel Mountains to become national monument

(Oct. 9, 2014) -- Part of the San Gabriel Mountains – one of the region’s premier outdoor recreation areas – will be set aside by President Barack Obama as a national monument, which proponents say would boost private funding for cleanup and maintenance.
