Va. tech professor to launch AT trail, campsite study

(July 2, 2014) -- In it's 90-year history very little data has been gathered about the Appalachian Trail and the effect hikers and campers have on its trails and campsites. So a researcher team from Virginia Tech will create a comprehensive set of data about the trail and campsite conditions.
