Erosion force campers off beach reservations

(June 25, 2014) -- Thanks to an anomaly in local weather patterns this spring, a short stretch of beach at Shinnecock East County Park didn’t rebound naturally from the winter’s erosion, as it typically does. The loss of beach is costing 20 families their reservations for oceanfront living with each passing week.
