Coachmen Unveils Compact, Inexpensive Remote 14R

When a new travel trailer hits the scene, the brand behind it typically says something. Well, this time around, no one’s heard a dang thing; only a select few have said anything. The brand behind today’s compact and mysterious RVing solutions on the road is none other than Coachmen RV, according to a report by AutoEvolution.com.

About a month ago, we covered a travel trailer from Coachmen’s lineup. The Remote 19R was that unit, the largest of the class. However, while we were busy looking at the largest Remote, Coachmen added an all-new floorplan to their production line: the 14R, which is officially the smallest of the campers from this family.

Until the appearance of the 14R, it was the 15R that was considered the smallest of the Remote series. However, the 14R comes in with a length of just under 18 ft, shorter than the 15R, and it weighs 2,806 lbs (1,273 kg) dry, over 100 lbs lighter than the 15R. This means that a wider range of vehicles is suitable for towing this one behind them.
