During his tenure at IAC Travel, he managed a portfolio of iconic travel brands, including Hotels.com and Hotwire. Blachford’s work in sustainability and active travel as CEO of TerraPass and Butterfield & Robinson, and board service at the Adventure Travel Trade Association, Choose Energy, and DCbel home energy management, aligns closely with Hipcamp’s commitment to environmental stewardship.
In his role on the board, Blachford will help Hipcamp amplify its marketing efforts, foster strategic partnerships, scale up operations, and explore opportunities for mergers and acquisitions to fuel growth. He will also guide the company’s brand development initiatives to ensure Hipcamp continues to be the first stop to discover and book great places to camp.
