Forest Service works to repair copper thefts before opening

(April 22, 2013) -- The U.S. Forest Service is working to repair damage from recent copper thefts at 15 recreation sites around the Lake Tahoe Basin in Calif. Although crews are working hard to avoid public impact, the crime may cause a delay in opening some sites. The agency is taking steps to eliminate the potential for vandalism.
