(Dec. 16, 2011) -- On Tuesday night, Sumter County Sheriff's Deputy Christopher Merritt sustained lacerations and possible ligament damage to his knees after tripping over chairs the fugitive he was chasing apparently threw at him at the Red Barn Campground in Bushnell, reports the Daily Commercial.
