Blue Ridge Parkway announces openings, closings

(March 15, 2013) -- A Blue Ridge Parkway news release says because of the 5 percent budget reduction that is in place as a result of the current federally mandated sequestration, the parkway is unable to hire its full complement of seasonal employees. Park visitors will notice some closures and reduced hours and services in some areas.
