Elk Mountain Campground closes at national park in S.D.

(March 8, 2013) -- The Elk Mountain Campground is closed at Wind Cave National Park in South Dakota as the park begins implementing a 5 percent across-the-board cut in its operating budget due to sequestration. Further cuts to visitor services, such as fewer ranger-led programs, will be implemented as the summer nears.
