U.S. industrial production declines, Canadian manufacturing sales plunge

(Feb. 15, 2013) -- U.S. industrial production edged down by 0.1 percent in Jan. 2013 following upwardly revised gains of 0.4 percent and 1.4 percent in December and November 2012, respectively. Canadian manufacturing sales plunged by an outsized 3.1 percent in Dec. 2012, which was the largest monthly decline since May 2009.
