WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump’s sweeping tariff plan would cut deficits by $2.8 trillion over a 10-year period while shrinking the economy, raising the inflation rate and reducing the purchasing power of households overall, according to an analysis released Wednesday by the Congressional Budget Office that was cited in a report by the Associated Press.
The numbers were revealed in a letter sent to Democratic congressional leadership outlining how the Trump administration’s plan to impose wide-ranging tariffs on countries around the world will affect American households.
Baked into the CBO analysis is a prediction that households would ultimately buy less from the countries hit with added tariffs. The budget office estimates that the tariffs would increase the average annual rate of inflation by 0.4 percentage points in 2025 and 2026.
The budget office’s model also assumes that the tariffs, announced through executive action between January and May, will be in place permanently.

Northern Wholesale Supply officials were proud to participate in RVs Move America Week, an annual initiative led by the RV Industry Association (RVIA), which brings together leaders from across the $140 billion RV industry to shape the future of outdoor recreation in the United States, according to a release.
As part of the week’s events, CEO Chad Smith had the opportunity to meet with Minnesota Congressman Tom Emmer (District 6), a long-time advocate for outdoor recreation and the success of Minnesota-based businesses.
“We’re grateful for Congressman Emmer’s continued support and leadership on issues that directly impact our industry, local economies, and the millions of families who enjoy RVing each year,” the release stated.
RVs Move America Week provides a critical platform for industry voices to engage directly with federal policymakers, discuss key legislative and regulatory priorities, and work collectively to ensure a strong future for RV travel, manufacturing, and the broader outdoor recreation economy.

Walden, the outdoor market intelligence firm, has announced the launch of the Land Opportunity Test (LOT) — a fast, data-driven assessment built specifically to evaluate land and outdoor hospitality opportunities, according to a press release.
Whitney Scott
Designed to answer two essential questions: Will this property support a successful outdoor venture? And what should I build? The LOT delivers a clear opportunity signal for glamping resorts, RV parks, campgrounds and other outdoor stays.
At the center of the report is the LOT Score, a proprietary 0–100 index that summarizes how well a site aligns with six critical factors: site conditions, regional access, outdoor tourism demand, recreation potential, hospitality infrastructure and the competitive landscape.
“When we built Terramor at KOA (Kampgrounds of America), this kind of clarity would’ve saved us months,” said Whitney Scott, Walden co-founder and former CMO of KOA. “This tool gives today’s developers what we didn’t have: a fast, informed way to evaluate land and opportunity.”
The LOT is designed as a cost-effective first step — an early signal that helps developers decide whether a site warrants deeper investment in surveys, design, planning, or feasibility studies.
Joshua Smibert
Each LOT report includes:
A LOT Score measuring overall site potential
A ranked list of best-fit development models
Data from 120-plus public, commercial and proprietary indicators
Insights drawn from Walden’s structured framework for outdoor success
“Outdoor hospitality is booming, but too many projects start with gut feel and end with regret,” said Joshua Smibert, co-founder of Walden. “The LOT Score flips that. It tells you what the land is suited for, before you pour time and money into the wrong idea.”
The LOT is now available for landowners, developers, operators and investors exploring new outdoor projects, acquisitions, redevelopment or expansion opportunities.

MIAMI, Fla. – A new platform offers practical guidance for families and individuals transitioning to RV living. The Gamble family, who recently made the transition to full-time RV life, has officially launched Time to RV, a digital platform dedicated to helping others explore and prepare for life on the road, according to a release.
As interest in full-time RV living continues to grow across the U.S., Time to RV aims to meet the demand for up-to-date, experience-based content. The platform provides educational articles, campground reviews, gear recommendations, and tips on homeschooling, downsizing, and remote work.
“After going through the transition ourselves, we realized there was a lack of clear, relatable information for families considering this lifestyle,” said Lauren Gamble, co-founder of Time to RV. “We created Time to RV to document our journey and share the lessons we’ve learned — both the highlights and the challenges.”
The site includes a range of practical resources such as:
A step-by-step guide to transitioning into full-time RV living
Reviews of family-friendly campgrounds and RV resorts
Product roundups based on real-world testing
Blog posts and videos featuring day-in-the-life stories from the road
While RVing has long been popular with retirees, younger families and remote workers are now fueling a new wave of interest in mobile living. According to RV Industry Association reports, RV ownership has reached record highs, with over 11 million households now owning an RV.
“Time to RV is focused on helping people make informed decisions — not just about RVs, but about how to live well while traveling full-time,” added Gamble.
The platform is available now at www.timetorv.com, with new content added weekly. The Gamble family also shares behind-the-scenes looks at their travels via social media and YouTube.
