Based in California, Lumi Labs has committed to maintaining a US-based sales, marketing, and support team. The company has positioned itself as a trusted voice in a market cluttered with misleading product marketing, poor delivery and customer service experiences from overseas “drop ship” projector brands.

“With the reputation, support, and reach of the Shepherd Sales team, this is the perfect partnership for expanding our distribution into RV dealerships nationwide,” said Eric Weinrib, VP of Field Sales and Marketing at Lumi Labs. “We couldn’t be more thrilled to have them representing our brand.”

Ken Shepherd,  third generation owner of Shepherd Sales Group, added: “We saw the potential of Lumi’s Smart Projectors after meeting Paul and Eric at the Great American RV Show in Denver. Their backgrounds—including their team’s former experience at brands like;  Red Bull, GoPro, Google, Apple, and BMW—make this a sure bet for delivering an exceptional customer experience to the RV and Van Life communities. They’re incredibly passionate about delivering big-screen magic anywhere you go, and we look forward to representing them exclusively in the RV channel.”

New York Contract is Largest in Prevost Company History

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – Prevost, a leading coach manufacturer in North America, is celebrating a major event – the award of its largest order ever in term of value with the win of 2 New York State Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) contracts.

MTA has awarded Prevost 2 contracts for up to 330 buses, with a firm order of 307 buses to be delivered between 2020 and 2022, and options for 23 additional buses. These contracts will create 25 new jobs at Prevost in Plattsburgh plus an additional 15 jobs at Prevost sub-assembly provider in the state of New York during the build of these contracts. It also allows Prevost to double its production of buses at its American factory.

“This is great news for Prevost to obtain these new contracts from the North America’s largest transportation network, which will continue to reinforce Prevost’s leadership position in the North American coach market. We initially opened our assembly line in Plattsburgh in 2014 after we received our first commuter bus contract from MTA. We are very proud as the buses for MTA will be built just a few hours drive from New York City. Our presence in this state is very important for Prevost and our talented employees in Plattsburgh are eager to demonstrate their skills once again to MTA”, added François Tremblay, Vice President and General Manager at Prevost.

“We are sincerely proud and grateful for the continued trust that MTA is putting in the Volvo team by awarding Prevost the largest order ever in the history of the company. We continue to serve our customers with a strong focus on uptime, reliability and service support. MTA has the largest bus and coach fleet in North America and we want to make a difference for the citizens of New York,” said Håkan Agnevall, President of Volvo Buses.

“This well-earned, record-breaking contract for Prevost to build new buses for the MTA is a win-win-win for the company, for the North Country economy, which will receive a critical shot in the arm from this manufacturing work in the form of 40 good-paying jobs, and for commuters in New York who will soon have access to a smooth ride on 330 brand new, top-of-the-line buses. The MTA’s bus service is a lifeline for countless residents of New York and I’m so glad to see that it recognizes that Prevost’s world-class Plattsburgh workforce produces a superior product for commuters in our state,” said Senator Schumer.

This is exciting news for Prevost and for North Country residents”, said Congresswoman Stefanik. “I am glad their new contract, the largest one in company history, will provide increased access to transportation for those who utilize it. This will bring significant economic activity to the Plattsburgh area, and I am proud to continue to be an outspoken advocate for business initiatives that will have positive impacts, much like this one.”

ORR Lauds Public Lands Selloff Removal from Budget Bill

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Outdoor Recreation Roundtable (ORR), the nation’s leading coalition of outdoor recreation businesses and organizations, commends the bipartisan leadership in both the House and Senate and its over 50 national members that helped keep out a proposal to sell off millions of acres of public lands from the budget reconciliation process.

Jessica Turner

“From the beginning, ORR has stood firmly on shared, bipartisan principles: protecting access to public lands and waters for outdoor recreation, investing in infrastructure, and securing long-term funding for sustainable growth,” ORR President Jessica Turner stated in a release. “While we stand ready to work on housing issues that need to be addressed with Congress and the administration, budget reconciliation was the wrong vehicle for deciding the fate of America’s public lands and the $1.2 trillion recreation economy.

“Selling off public lands in this way was not just out of touch with public sentiment — it could have impacted businesses, jobs, public health, and the many rural communities that depend on access to outdoor recreation for economic development and quality of life,” she continued.

“ORR and our members spanning the entire outdoor recreation industry are uniquely positioned to forge innovative, bipartisan solutions to issues impacting our public lands—from housing for our workforce, to funding needed infrastructure, to supporting  gateway communities — and keeping public lands and waters accessible and outdoor recreation thriving for generations to come will remain the backbone of this work,” Turner concluded.

The Outdoor Recreation Roundtable is the nation’s leading coalition of outdoor recreation associations representing the more than 110,000 outdoor businesses in the recreation economy and the full spectrum of outdoor-related activities. The most recent data from the U.S. Department of Commerce shows that outdoor recreation generated $1.2 trillion in economic output (2.3% of GDP), 5 million jobs and comprises 3.1% of U.S. employees.

Video: Keystone RV’s Outback 341RD Earns Luxury Status

EDITOR’S NOTE: The following is an excerpt of a report by AutoEvolution.com. Click here to read the full report.

No one buys an RV because it has an eye-catching exterior, but we’d be lying to ourselves if we didn’t admit that appearances DO count. The new Keystone Outback Luxury Edition 341RD aims to be the complete package: a travel trailer with a neat exterior and an interior to match the luxury designation.

The Outback 341RD travel trailer from Keystone RV has been around for a number of years, enough of them to turn it into a very popular floorplan. It’s a travel trailer but it’s designed like a fifth-wheeler, down to certain aspects of the interior layout, so it lives much larger than what you’d expect – and definitely much larger than what you’d get with similarly sized travel trailers.

For the 2025 model year, Keystone introduced the Luxury Edition of the 341RD, which is a sort of luxurious glow-up to an already pretty fancy RV. The standard version is now the Premium model, while the Luxury Edition brings an automotive-grade full-body paintjob, turning the RV into an instant eye-catcher.

In a world of white and gray RVs, be a fully painted Keystone. As much as we tell ourselves and each other that appearances don’t or shouldn’t matter, they always do. And while a new, fancier exterior will not add too much functional value to an RV, it will add an extra touch of personality that many will find irresistible. If not, it will attract attention – and the interior will do the job of landing new customers.
