Due to the partial government shutdown this winter, delays in the spring opening of campgrounds, picnic pavilions, and cabins are anticipated, the Park Service said. There is a reduced timeline for seasonal staff hiring and planning that has shifted opening dates at some facilities. Source

The rehabilitation of the Chinquapin Hill campgrounds at Caledonia State Park has been completed, and the campgrounds will be open for the 2019 season, the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources announced. Source

Moving northward we were heading toward the Villages, a well known retirement community in north central Florida. We will be there for three nights and we plan to visit two RVing couples we met on the road who now have homes in the Villages. One lives there fulltime while the other couple are snowbirds from Illinois. Source
