(Oct. 30, 2017) -- Just in time for the weekend, Angeles National Forest officials have terminated the Mt. Wilson area closure, effective today.

(Oct. 30, 2017) -- This is another bucket list item, Death Valley National Park, to mark off the list. I didn’t realize that Death Valley was an actual national park.

(Oct. 30, 2017) -- A fabulous campground (huge, private, quiet sites) on the very quiet Schoodic Peninsula side of Acadia National Park in Maine.

(Oct. 30, 2017) -- It had been over a year and a half since we last boondocked. I don’t count overnighting at Walmart, or dry camping at a campground, or even any of the moochdocking we did last year as boondocking.

(Oct. 30, 2017) -- You can find us on the road in between workamping gigs, usually stopping in at truck stops some nights. They are quite possibly the most convenient and inexpensive overnight stays along our route.

(Oct. 30, 2017) -- In the morning, I pack up camp and leave Lions Park in Vermillion, S.D. It was a good two nights, but I’ve reached my stay limit and am eager to keep heading south.

(Oct. 30, 2017) -- A former Yurt Resort at the Lake is likely going to be redeveloped… but it’s not clear what kind of use the county will allow.

(Oct. 30, 2017) -- A Big Pine RV park slated to be the site of 80 trailers from the Federal Emergency Management Agency received word from FEMA on Thursday that the federal agency will not be using that site after all.

(Oct. 30, 2017) -- Both town campgrounds had a good year, the Moriah Town Council was told at a recent meeting.
