US GDP growth dips, slowdown not expected to last
(April 28, 2017) -- "While today’s GDP report confirms a slow start to the year (.7 percent annualized pace in Q1 down from 2.1 percent in the prior quarter), we are far from ready to throw in the towel on our forecast for growth to pick up in 2017," Josh Nye, economist, explained regarding the dip in US GDP growth.

Canadian GDP unchanged in February
(April 28, 2017) -- Canada's gross domestic product (GDP) remained unchanged in February following a solid .6 percent jump in January. Even though the real GDP output amounted to 2.49 percent, Bank of Canada showed little indication to immediately start to tighten policy.
