N.Y.: Campers urged to prepare before venturing out

(Nov. 29, 2016) -- Backcountry hikers and campers are urged to use caution as wintry conditions have arrived in the Adirondack parks. The recent snowstorm is providing good conditions for winter outdoor recreation in the Adirondack backcountry, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) Commissioner Basil Seggos said.
