Australia: Kayaks stolen in floods

(Nov. 23, 2016) -- Leading Senior Constable Ricky Keast said the incident occurred after the Goulburn River flooded at Murchison on Oct. 1, forcing campers to flee their site. ‘‘The river flooded and rose to the extent that campers at a campground near the intersection of River Rd and Murchison-Tatura Rd had to evacuate without some of their camp belongings,’’ Leading Sen Const Keast said.
