Robbery, assault charges dropped in campground attack

(March 14, 2016) -- Buchanan and Battles were arrested in June, 2014 on allegations they tried to kill Kelly Nicole Efurd Whitehurst while attempting to steal her boat trailer at a Lake Eufaula campground. Whitehurst, a Houston County teacher, was pushed to the ground while trying to stop the theft and struck by the trailer and has since undergone multiple medical procedures.
