Lake James State Park named Park of the Year January 5, 2015 by Rebecca Smith (Jan. 5, 2015) -- Lake James State Park in Burke and McDowell counties has been named the N.C. 2014 State Park of the Year by the N.C. Division of Parks and Recreation.
