Careless campers caused $8 million wildfire

(Aug. 4, 2014) -- An abandoned campfire near the Rock Creek Campground, Mammoth Lakes, Calif., was the cause of the “French” fire that charred more than 12,800 acres of forest in the Sierra National Forest, east of Oakhurst, the U.S. Forest Service says.
