Texas campgrounds still have vacancies for July 4th weekend

(July 1, 2013) -- Staff members at Pettibone Campground in La Crosse are praying for the grounds to dry before the Fourth of July weekend. Heavy rainfall has caused the Mississippi River to overflow, and as of Friday, 50 of the 300 RV sites were taken out, reports WXOW.com.

Fireworks thrown inside toilet at Mont. campground

(July 1, 2013) -- Last week, someone threw fireworks inside the vault toilet at the Blodgett Campground in the Bitterroot National Forest. Besides creating a huge mess for Forest Service employees to clean up, the explosion also put the toilet out of commission for a few days, reports The Missoulian.
