Alaska campground redefines “bear-proof” trash cans

(July 1, 2013) -- The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner writes that a hungry and strong bear has figured out a way to open what were thought to be bear-proof trash cans at the Ophir Creek Campground in the White Mountains National Recreation Area north of Fairbanks.
