Employment increases in U.S. and Canada

(June 7, 2013) -- May 2013 non-farm U.S. payroll employment increased by 175,000 in the month following a 149,000 gain in April. Canadian employment increased by 95,000 in May 2013, thereby trouncing market expectations for a 15,000 increase.
