U.S. ISM non-manufacturing index dips; ADP employment rises

(April 3, 2013) -- The Institute for Supply Management (ISM) non-manufacturing index dropped to 54.4 in March 2013 from 56.0 in February. Market expectations had been for a smaller decline in the measure to 55.5. ADP private employment increased by 158,000 in March 2013, which was below market expectations for a 200,000 increase.
