Canadian employment soars; U.S. payroll employment up

(March 8, 2013) -- Canadian employment in Feb. 2013 jumped 50,700, which more than reversed the 21,900 drop in January. Non-farm payroll employment in the US jumped by a stronger-than-expected 236,000 in Feb. 2013. The unemployment rate dropped to 7.7 percent from 7.9 percent in January.
