New Zealand DOC clarifies freedom camping rules

(Dec. 5, 2012) -- Under the Freedom Camping Act, camping is expressly prohibited in areas clearly identified with relevant signage. The DOC has also clarified sites that are now available to self-contained campervans to stay overnight.
