Calif. monument could become 59th national park

(Aug. 1, 2012) -- If a bill that cleared the House Tuesday passes the Senate and is signed into law by President Obama, Pinnacles National Monument in central California would become the 59th U.S. national park, reports the Los Angeles Times.
