(Jan. 10, 2012) -- Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department spokesman Drew Sugars said a man in his early 40's attempted a one-day, 17-mile loop from Nira Campground on Saturday. But friends and family members called 911 when he didn't show up for dinner plans that evening, reports Noozhawk.
