(Jan. 3, 2012) -- Five years ago, Baxter State Park officials accepted the deed to roughly 4,000 acres surrounding Katahdin Lake, but the deal did not include two small parcels that remained in private hands. Now Huber Resources Corp. of Old Town, the owner of the larger of the two parcels, wants to give the land to the park free of charge, reports the Bangor Daily News.
