(Dec. 9, 2011) -- The San Jose Mercury News reports that the Portola and Castle Rock Foundation said this week that it wants to raise $500,000 in an effort to keep Castle Rock and Portola Redwoods state parks -- which are slated to close on July 1 -- open through the next three years.
